It was absolutely thrilling experience, in fact, one of my favorite places in which I volunteered. the guest house is a remarkable place, just by the stunning and beautiful lagoon. For 2 weeks I slept in a tent (by choice), swam in the lagoon, watched sunrises from the kayak, and relaxed in the hammock the whole day. The reception tasks are quite simple. Although there are a lot of hours of work, some days indeed there is a lot to do, the other days there is nothing to do. I really recommend the guest house as a place to connect with nature, meet other travelers and live an extraordinary experience.

The guest house is a beautiful space right in front of the laguna. you have access to kaiks and paddle board. they provide food for breakfast and we can cook. I was just on the rainy season so there was no much work to be done, only helping at the reception and small cleanings. as it was raining Legna let me stay in the shared room with guests but in case the room would be fully booked I'd need to move to the tent.

Host was LOVELY she was kind, &, welcoming :) i enjoyed most aspects of it! except the sleeping situation was very hard. i understood it was going to be a tent that was not a problem just the comfortability was rough. the tents were dirty (bugs) and filled with water when we got there. it also kept raining and even after we moved our tents under a cover they still got soaked. tents were not breathable so it got SO hot so30 hours a week the tents did not feel worth it! (one night she did let us sleep in the beds tho:) the property is STUNNING the work was great and fun people were amazing <3

This was my first experience through WorldPackers, and it has also been one of the best trips ever. Legna treat me like a member of her family, she is a real Angel. ONE of a kind woman. The hostal is perfect if you want to relax, and take a break from the city, to read, swim, go to kayaks, etc. The lagoon is a secret jewel in this part of Mexico, so there are not a lot of tourists around, it's just you, and nature. The work doesn't require a lot of work, actually you just have to treat guests like home, and show them around (if you're in reception) Thank you forever, I had a great summer.
