The Experience

Hi! We are looking for help with out little Hotel and Hostel at the beautiful island of Öland in Sweden. Lots of stunning nature and beaches. we take turns serving breakfast and we will teach you how to do housekeeping. its a good skill to know how to clean a hotel room! Me Sofie & Henrik will be working and cooking with you and accationally have one or two beers together. if you want ofcourse! we have a dog and some chickens too.

Coming to the hostel & Hostel was one of the best decisions in my life! I felt welcomed by Sofie, Henrik and other volunteers the moment I got there. The work was not hard at all and could be done in less than 5 hours. We had the rest of the day off and could explore the island by bikes that were provided for us. If you love nature and everything that comes with it, you'll absolutely love it here! Thank you to Sofie and Henrik for being such amazing hosts <3

My experience in the hostel was fantastic and I absolutely recommend it!! I felt welcomed since the first moment thanks to Sofie and Henrik who are fantastic people to say the least and could not be more happy to have had this experience. Löttorp is a truly beautiful city with lots of places to discover surrounded by nature. The tasks are simple and even if you have no experience it is very easy to learn everything in a few days, also you always have plenty of free time available. Thanks again for the wonderful experience, for making me feel part of a family and teaching me so many things ♡

Animal and nature lovers, this is your place! Sofie shares love for animals, and you can help with the chickens! You can easilly explore beautiful nature by bikes! Besides working and exploring if you are looking for improving yourSwedish, the hostel is also a good fit for that. Sometimes guests, especially children, like to chat with you in Swedish and Sofie and Henrik will kindly speak in Swedish if that is the language you prefer! Not only Swedish but to practise English the hostel is a great choice because both, Sofie and Henrik, speaksEnglish on a high level. Thank you Sofie, Henrik, Lily!<3

An experience that I'll always remember! Felt welcomed and appreciated from the 1st day, and later at home. I stayed for one month and now I'm leaving with only good memories in my hearth. For those who are curious like I was before coming, here are some details: Hosts: Sofie & Henrik are very cool and down-to-earth people who like to spend time with you, cook, eat, and have a drink. Lily the dog is such a sweetheart. Work: We either had breakfast 07-12 or cleaning shifts 10-15, which usually ended earlier. Rooms: There are two options attic or basement, both quite decent. Thank you!

My experience in the hostel was incredible! Sofie and Henrik are very friendly and kind, Lily is very calm and lovely, thank you all for everything! Löttorp is a small village but very cozy, if you're looking for a place to calm down, relax and be in contact with nature, that's the right place. I had a lot of free time and Sofie is very flexible with the schedule! The tasks are very easy and simple, mainly cleaning. 100% recommend 🥰
