The Experience

Do you play fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin, or another instrument? We want to build a bluegrass festival on this farm. Looking for musicians, sound technicians, etc. In search of “Billie” Strings (female version of world renowned bluegrass picker Billy MF Strings) We will enlist videographers to record performances, too. Laura is such an incredible host! We communicated easily prior to my arrival, and she made me feel welcome immediately I arrived at the camping. She is willing to listen and get your input, rather than impose things on you. She also made sure I was comfortable with my tasks, as well as my accommodation. I had an amazing stay at the lodging she provided for me. the camping is beautiful and my favorite part was spending time on the swing in the mornings.

This is a very chill and laid back place. I enjoyed having some good conversations with Laura . I feel we learned a lot from each other, Hashing over our hopes and dreams ! What holds us back and how to successfully move forward . Denise was the hardest worker I have had the pleasure to work with . the camping is beautiful , I watched the sunrise come up over the corn field with Cali the calico cat every morning. It was a wonderful way to start my day!

Something to prepare for would include being comfortable with feeling right at home, right away. They help you to feel like you belong there and they give you creative freedoms to explore and express. They make it clear that this is a mutual agreement and they want the traveler/volunteer to get as much out of the experience as the land or they might get out of the experience. they are absolutely lovely and I hope that everyone who takes this opportunity does so with great respect and care for this home, this family and everyone else who travels there.

What a wonderful week I had at the camping! This was my first experience with World Packers and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Laura and Bianca are wonderful human beings and made me feel so welcome. It was mostly Laura who guided us for the tasks, she is very flexible and will have you do only things you are comfortable with. The tasks ranged from doing some work around the camping to doing artwork. The place is extremely gorgeous, and the accommodations are super cozy. the camping's located on the cute little town Paducah, which is definitely worth exploring.
