The Experience

We are a couple in our 50’s, who after a hectic life in London decided during Covid to relocate to SW France, situated an hour and 15 minutes from Toulouse and Bergerac airports. We live here with my Mum (she has her own apartment in a barn), our two very lively dogs and a barn cat. We have various buildings and lots of land, and as we are currently renovating the farmhouse, we're looking for some help with painting, gardening and repairing :)

This was a highlight of my trip. Located In the beautiful French countryside, Kell and Jacqueline are fantastic hosts. The work is fair and gives the opportunity to learn new things about home improvement and land care- they always provided great food and conversation as well. Their two dogs Rufus and Albi are awesome companions and always down to play. I'd recommend this experience to anyone looking to re-connect with nature, and meet two wonderful and interesting people Was a fantastic time, and I am very happy I went. A big thank you to both of you once again :)

I would recommend the home to anyone looking for a social detox in nature and a way to learn new skills in gardening, construction and other things. The hosts are wonderful people that show respect towards you by respecting your hours, needs and wishes. They supply you with food to keep your energy up and cook delecious meals for you in the evening and Jacqueline makes the most wonderful sandwiches for you during lunch. Had the most wonderful weeks here and would definitely come back.

Jacqueline and Kell welcomed me with open arms since day one. The tasks were easy and nice to do with such incredible views of their house, I could spend hours picking raspberries or cracking walnuts, plus the dogs are lovely and really great company. They're very flexible with jobs outside and inside, depending on the weather, and the order of doing things is whatever suits you best. Everything was above my expectations, including the room and the food provided. I loved my time with them and getting to know about their lifestyle and culture, it really inspired me in many ways!
