The Experience

We are an English family of six, living in Scotland. Our family structure is complex, with mum and 2 dads living together. We have three autonomously home educated children - one is at University (19 years); another is in secondary education (14 years) and our baby in his fifth year of life, all male. We require someone to come and play imagination games with our youngest, and preferably teach him to play the piano, while we spend time working.

They are a wonderful family. They are super flexible with the timetable, and they have a project where you have to help, but don't worry because they will teach you everything you need to know. They help you a lot with your English, and if you say something wrong they correct you. The little boy is fantastic, spending time with him is the best! They also invite you to play board games with them,I even went swimming with them and many other things that make you feel at home! There is a lot of food and they also make typical food for you to taste. An experience I will always keep in my heart!

The family were very patient and helped a lot with my English. They always asked if I needed anything. I really enjoyed the board games and English practices after dinner, The location is great if like love greens and spending time outdoors. The family helps as much as possible so that you get to know the surroundings and other places you would like to go to. you should have a little patience with the cleanliness and order of the house. On the work side, there is a lot to do jobs, but the family will find the best job that suits your abilities and they will do everything to make you feel safe.

I was lucky to have the opportunity to try homestay for the first time and for a short time as the family mainly just need some extra help setting up BBQ equipment and moving things around. Depends on when and what you applied for, the tasks you'll be doing will vary a lot. It was a great experience for culture exchange and the family is nice and understanding. Thanks for everything for the past few days.

It was a very good experience, the family was very kind and provided me with everything I needed and more! The work is hard but it goes fast and they are flexible with the schedule. A place away from everything, excellent to disconnect. I had a great time!

The experience was pleasant, if you want to be away from the city, this is a good place, you have unlimited food and you can cook what you want but it does not include alcohol, a good place to learn English. I recommend worrying a little more about the volunteers and have more order
