If you're planning a visit to Cape Town, get ready for the trip of a lifetime. To help you make the most of your time there, I've put together my top 13 things to do in Cape Town that showcase the very best this city has to offer.

From the breathtaking views atop Table Mountain to the adorable African penguins at Boulders Beach to the powerful history of Robben Island - these experiences will leave you in awe of Cape Town's beauty, culture, and spirit.

The cable car ride only takes about 5 minutes, but the views are spectacular. As you ascend, the floor of the cable car rotates, giving you 360-degree views of the city below. Once at the top, there are plenty of hiking trails and viewpoints to explore.

For a more adventurous way to reach the summit, you can hike up Table Mountain. There are several trails to choose from, ranging from easy to strenuous.

The most popular route is Platteklip Gorge, which takes about 2-3 hours to reach the top. Be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen, as the hike can be challenging in the heat.
